Made by stamping an 1800s carved seal with 'mottos' in French, Italian, Latin or English on to gold. A rectangular disc in gold with satin finish that will turn shiny over time features an image of a running stag/hart/deer pierced by an arrow with French words "La Douleur Cause Ma Fuite" (‘Pain Makes Me Fly’ or ‘Pain and Sorrows Cause Me To Flee’). This piece could signify a loss in love or life, but not in pride and spirit, and endure and move forward. On the reverse written In Italian, “FAR BENE LASCIAR DIRE” (‘Do well Let say’). Handcrafted in Los Angeles.
